UUBO Conducts Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in Two Secondary Schools in Lagos Island

On Wednesday, 12 March 2025, we had an incredibly successful breast cancer awareness campaign at Lafiaji Grammar School and Okesuna High School in Lagos Island.

The event was a resounding success, with our team reaching over 120 female students and teachers, providing vital information that could potentially save lives. The students were thoroughly engaged throughout the session, actively participating in the Q&A segment and showing genuine interest in the health information provided by our medical partner, Sebeccly Cancer Care.

After the educational sessions, we distributed refreshments and souvenirs to over 450 students and provided free mammogram vouchers to the teachers. The joy and gratitude on everyone’s faces were truly heartwarming and affirmed that our efforts were making a real difference.

This successful event was possible due to the generous contributions from our Partners and the firm as a whole during the firm’s 2024 Pink October campaign. We also appreciate our volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to participate in this noble cause: Jumoke Lambo, Ozofu ‘Latunde Ogiemudia, Lolade Ososami, Oyindamola Ehiwere, Kelechi Ibe, Toluwalope Adedokun, Ayomide Soretire, Aniekan Udo-Okon, Iheoma Njoku, Chinenye Okoro, Josephine Ukpong, Tosin Ojutalayo, Mathew Mangkazuk, Oluwanifemi Akeju, Calista Uzoeto, Alex Ehi-Uujamhan, Ugochi Tony-Nwabueze, Daniel Adekunle, Oluwarotimi Dada, and Walter Igboanu.  The time and energy the team contributed show what makes our firm special – we don’t just talk about giving back; we show up.

We are also grateful to our sponsors – UAC Foods, Marvico Group, and Leadway Assurance – whose generous donations indeed contributed to the success of the event.

Looking ahead to our 2025 Pink October campaign, we are excited to build on the success of this outreach and create an even greater impact. With the continued generosity and participation of our diverse stakeholders, we believe we can not only match but exceed what we accomplished last year.
