The TMT team partners played a strategic role in the technical team that was engaged by the Federal Government of Nigeria to review the (then) new communications policy in 2001, and to draft the fresh legislation to govern the TMT sector.

The TMT team advises on regulatory and compliance operational requirements and divestments, anti-trust and competition issues, outsourcing projects, cybersecurity and data protection and privacy issues, e-payment systems and e-commerce. The TMT team has advised biddas involved in licensing auctions and assisted several telecommunications operations, media investors, broadcast companies, TMT sector equipment and service suppliers, social network operations, telephone and electronics manufacturers, and music publishers. The team, where necessary works with the financing, M & A and other commercial practice areas of the firm to structure transaction that are tailor made for the Nigerian market.
