Our Corporate Advisory, M&A, Private Equity and Pro Bono teams partner, Ozofu Olatunde Ogiemudia, who is the Thematic Lead for the Regulations Working Group of the National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable (NASSBER), facilitated a Public-Private Dialogue (“PPD”) on Franchising in Nigeria on 21st June 2022 in Abuja.
The PPD was jointly organised by NASSBER and the German Agency for International Cooperation’s (GIZ) Pro-poor Growth and Promotion of Employment in Nigeria Programme (SEDIN) including the Nigeria Competitiveness Project – NICOP (funded by the European Union). NASSBER is a partnership between the National Assembly, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and the Nigeria Bar Association’s Section on Business Law to initiate and review business, investment, and job creating laws in Nigeria. Ozofu had previously worked with NASSBER on the draft bill for the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 and is currently working with NASSBER on the review of the Franchising Bills that are currently before the National Assembly.
