LISA ESAMAH
Senior Associate
Lisa Esamah is a Senior Associate and a member of the firm’s capital markets, banking and finance, and corporate advisory teams. She has extensive experience in advising clients on various transactions; she has been involved in a wide range of complex transactions, including leveraged & acquisition finance, debt capital market, corporate restructuring commercial transactions, insolvency, equity capital markets, initial public offerings, private placement, private equity, and regulatory advisory services in the course of which she has worked with international and domestic investors.
She was instrumental in advising BUA Group on the consolidation of the BUA group’s sugar, flour, pasta, rice, and oil businesses into BUA Foods PLC and the subsequent listing by the introduction of the shares of BUA Foods PLC in the consumer goods sector of the Mainboard of Nigerian exchange limited, with the trading symbol “BUAFoods.” As a result, N720 billion was added to the market capitalisation of Nigerian Exchange Limited.
Lisa was also a crucial part of the team which advised Presco PLC in connection with the establishment of its N50 Billion Bond issuance programme and subsequent N30 billion series 1 issuance. She also advised MTN Nigeria Communications PLC in connection with the establishment of a N150 billion commercial paper programme and its subsequent series 1 and 2 issuances. Lisa is part of the team advising as solicitor to the Transaction in connection with the establishment of a N30 billion bond issuance programme by an agribusiness and manufacturing company.
