We at Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie are delighted to announce the elevation of our Partner, Mena Ajakpovi, to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on Monday, 29 September 2025.
Mena co-heads our Dispute Resolution practice and leads our Intellectual Property and Media & Entertainment teams. Over a career spanning three decades, he has advised and represented global corporations, financial institutions, and creative industry leaders in complex commercial disputes, international arbitrations, and high-profile intellectual property matters. His work has included landmark copyright and brand protection cases, multi-billion-naira commercial disputes, and international proceedings before tribunals under ICC, LCIA, and OHADA rules.
In addition to being a Notary Public and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Mena is active in professional bodies including the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Nigerian Bar Association, and the Lagos Court of International Arbitration. He is consistently recognised by Chambers Global and Who’s Who Legal as a leading practitioner in his fields.
The conferment of SAN status is a well-deserved recognition of Mena’s outstanding career and:
- Reinforces UUBO’s strength in advocacy and dispute resolution.
- Enhances the confidence our clients place in our ability to deliver on complex mandates.
- Extends our capacity at Nigeria’s appellate courts.
- Reflects the culture of excellence and professional growth that defines our firm.
Please join us in congratulating Mena Ajakpovi, SAN, on this remarkable achievement.
