UUBO is pleased to have advised Growthpoint Investec African Properties (GIAP) on its acquisition of 100% of RMB Westport Real Estate Development Fund Limited (RMB Westport). The acquisition gives GIAP a real estate asset base of approximately $500 million and a presence across a number of Sub-Saharan African countries with the majority of exposure in key cities in Nigeria, Ghana and Zambia.
UUBO advised GIAP on the Nigerian real property and M&A aspects of this deal and was retained by GIAP and RMB Westport to obtain the approval of the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission to the acquisition.
